Islamic Affairs: 408 million for the maintenance of 6,478 mosques in Saudi Arabia

In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's utmost care for mosques, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance a comprehensive package of operational contracts for the maintenance and cleaning of mosques and prayer halls for the year 2025. The total value of these contracts exceeds 408 million riyals and aims to cover 6,478 mosques across the Kingdom, ensuring a safe and healthy worship environment befitting the sanctity of these holy places.

Contract details and geographical scope

The process involved signing 31 comprehensive operational contracts, designed to meet all maintenance, cleaning, and integrated operational needs according to the highest quality standards. These contracts were not limited to a specific region but covered a wide geographical area encompassing the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Asir, Jazan, Qassim, Najran, Al-Jawf, and the Northern Borders, in addition to a number of governorates within these regions, thus ensuring that services reach thousands of mosques in both cities and villages.

This strategic step is fully aligned with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which prioritizes serving pilgrims and caring for Islamic holy sites.
