Minister of Islamic Affairs launches digital services to achieve Vision 2030

In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to accelerating digital transformation across all government sectors, His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, inaugurated a new suite of advanced digital services today at his office in the Ministry headquarters. This initiative is part of the Ministry's comprehensive strategy to develop its technological infrastructure, aligning with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the efficiency of government operations and improve the quality of life.

A qualitative leap in the management of Islamic work

The launch encompassed a wide range of services covering various sectors of the ministry, including advanced digital integration systems, interactive dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs), and upgrades to several internal systems. This new system aims to automate administrative and technical procedures, thereby reducing reliance on paper transactions and expediting the completion of transactions with high accuracy and reliability.

National Digital Transformation Context

This launch is not an isolated event, but rather part of a broader technological transformation underway in the Kingdom. Since the launch of Vision 2030, the government has placed digital transformation at the forefront of public sector development. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, responsible for thousands of mosques and religious centers both within and outside the Kingdom, is leveraging technology to manage and govern this extensive network. The transition from traditional to digital management is crucial for handling the massive amounts of data related to mosque maintenance, imam and muezzin affairs, and religious outreach programs.

Enhancing data reliability and supporting decision-making

His Excellency the Minister explained that the new services primarily aim to enhance the quality and reliability of data. Through dashboards and real-time performance indicators, the Ministry's senior management will be able to monitor workflow in various regions in real time, supporting strategic decision-making based on accurate data and facts. These services will also undergo periodic evaluation and review to ensure continuous improvement and keep pace with the latest global technologies.

Expected impact locally and administratively

These services are expected to have a tangible impact locally by improving the speed of response to the needs of mosques and ministry-affiliated facilities, and ensuring that religious outreach and guidance services reach beneficiaries more efficiently. Automation will also contribute to increased transparency and governance in the ministry's financial and administrative operations.

At the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership - may God support them - for the generous and unlimited support they provide to the Ministry, stressing that this support is the main driver of all the achievements made in the digital transformation journey, enabling the Ministry to perform its noble mission of serving Islam and Muslims in the best possible way.
