Minister of Islamic Affairs: The Kingdom's leadership in serving the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God

His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, called for remembering the great efforts of the founder of the country, King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud - may God have mercy on him - and praying for him during these blessed days, stressing that his wise vision in unifying the country made serving the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God an honor inherited by the sons of the Kingdom generation after generation, and a sacred national responsibility that unites the hearts of Saudis from the north of the Kingdom to its south and from its east to its west to provide the best services to the guests of God.
A historical legacy that reinforces the Kingdom's leadership in serving the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God
Historically, the Hajj pilgrimage before the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was fraught with dangers and hardships, as pilgrims faced serious security and health challenges. With the establishment of the modern Saudi state by King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – security and stability were prioritized. The founder worked to secure the Hajj routes, provide medical and food care, and build an integrated system to ensure the safety of pilgrims. This historical transformation was not merely an administrative reorganization, but rather an embodiment of the Kingdom's noble mission based on spreading unity and justice, and making the service of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors the highest goal of the state.
National unity and integration in serving the guests of God
During his reception of well-wishers on the occasion of Eid al-Adha at his office in Mina, including heads of committees and ministry officials involved in Hajj operations, Al-Sheikh noted that the unity witnessed in the Kingdom today reflects the deep bond between the leadership and the people. He added that the citizens stand united today, working hand in hand to implement the directives of the wise leadership, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, aimed at harnessing all material, human, and technological resources for the comfort of the pilgrims.
Regional and international dimensions of the Kingdom's efforts in caring for pilgrims
The significance of Saudi Arabia's efforts in organizing the Hajj extends far beyond the local sphere, impacting both regionally and internationally. From an Islamic perspective, the annual success of the Hajj season symbolizes the unity and solidarity of the Muslim world, as millions of Muslims from around the globe gather in peace and tranquility. Internationally, the Kingdom's efforts are widely recognized by governments and international organizations, which commend its remarkable organizational capabilities and its use of cutting-edge smart technologies to manage crowds and facilitate the rituals. This positive impact reinforces the Kingdom's position as a leader of the Islamic world and a cornerstone of stability and development in the region and the world at large.
