Islamic Affairs intensifies awareness programs for pilgrims in Mecca
As part of its ongoing efforts to serve pilgrims and provide them with a suitable spiritual environment, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, has intensified its outreach activities and guidance programs in the central area and mosques of Makkah. This initiative coincides with the arrival of large numbers of Umrah pilgrims and is part of the second phase of the Islamic awareness plan for the current Umrah season of 1447 AH.
Comprehensive outreach programs in international languages
Through these intensive programs, the Ministry is committed to recruiting a select group of official preachers and qualified translators to communicate with pilgrims in their various languages. The activities offered are diverse, including a continuous series of daily religious lessons, impactful sermons, and guidance lectures held in mosques surrounding the Grand Mosque. This variety of methods and languages aims to ensure that the correct message of Islam reaches the widest possible audience of those visiting the Grand Mosque and to overcome any language barriers that non-Arabic speakers may encounter.
Consolidating moderation and explaining the rituals
The scientific and religious content presented focuses on several key themes, foremost among them a step-by-step explanation of the Umrah rituals according to the Prophet's guidance, and an accessible explanation of matters of creed and monotheism. The programs also place great emphasis on promoting moderation and combating extremism and fanaticism, in addition to fostering intellectual security among pilgrims. Efforts are not limited to the ritual aspect alone, but extend to include raising awareness of Islamic legal rulings, highlighting the sanctity and grandeur of Mecca, and showcasing the virtues of Islam.

These tireless efforts reflect the leading role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. The Ministry, under the direct guidance and supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, strives to provide the highest quality awareness services that enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with peace of mind and ease, free from innovations and heresies. The programs also include a dedicated section for promptly answering pilgrims' religious inquiries, contributing to raising religious awareness and highlighting the great efforts exerted by the wise leadership in caring for the guests of God and facilitating their spiritual journey.
