The Ministry of Interior launches the World Defence Exhibition 2026 stamp to welcome visitors

The Saudi Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Passports, announced the launch of a special stamp for the "World Defence Exhibition 2026" to welcome visitors and international delegations arriving in the Kingdom for this prominent global event. Passports of travelers arriving at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, as well as at the exhibition's dedicated airport in the Malham area, will be stamped with this stamp, coinciding with the start of the exhibition, which will take place from February 8 to 12, 2026.
The Ministry of Interior is participating under the slogan "Muqdam"
This initiative coincides with the Ministry of Interior's extensive participation in the exhibition, under its "Miqdam" (meaning "Vibrant" or "Terrific") pavilion. Through this participation, the Ministry aims to showcase its latest strategic plans for developing the internal security system, with a strong focus on employing artificial intelligence technologies and innovative digital solutions. The pavilion features live and interactive demonstrations highlighting the Ministry's capabilities in promoting the concept of "safe cities," developing border security mechanisms, and managing crises and disasters with high efficiency. It also showcases significant advancements in field operations and the maintenance of security for vital installations.
World Defence Exhibition: A global platform for localization and innovation
The World Defence Exhibition, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), is one of the world’s leading defense and security events. The exhibition provides a unique platform for interoperability across the five domains of defense: land, sea, air, space, and security. The 2026 edition is particularly significant as it reflects the rapid progress Saudi Arabia is making in the military industries sector, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals of localizing more than 50% of government spending on military equipment and services.
Strategic and economic dimensions of the event
The exhibition's importance extends beyond the military and security aspects, encompassing major economic and strategic dimensions. The event brings together industry leaders and decision-makers from around the world, fostering opportunities for international partnerships, technology transfer, and knowledge localization. The "passport stamp" initiative serves as a symbolic gesture reflecting Saudi Arabia's warm welcome and underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to its guests—experts, investors, and official delegations—thus documenting their visit to this significant international forum, which solidifies Riyadh's position as a global destination for major exhibitions and conferences.
