Human Resources: Empowering 100,000 Social Security beneficiaries by 2025

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved unprecedented qualitative leaps during 2025, marking a strategic achievement by transitioning approximately 100,000 beneficiaries of social security services from a state of dependency and traditional care to one of productivity and financial independence. This radical transformation culminates years of efforts within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on transforming beneficiaries into active contributors to the national economy, rather than relying entirely on direct support.

Empowerment strategy instead of patronage

This achievement was not a coincidence, but rather the result of implementing modern policies within the social protection system. The Ministry worked to transform the concept of social security from a mere financial safety net into a platform for empowerment. Through various avenues, including vocational training, career guidance, and support for small entrepreneurial projects, the Ministry successfully integrated these large numbers into the labor market, reflecting a shift in the Kingdom's social development approach towards ensuring the financial sustainability of the most vulnerable families.

Digital leadership and smart services for people with disabilities

In the context of the Kingdom's digital transformation, the Ministry has achieved global excellence in caring for people with disabilities, culminating in the Digital Government Excellence Award for its "Digital Inclusion" initiative. More than 850,000 people have benefited from accessible digital cards, which have facilitated their access to government and private services. Statistics also revealed that financial assistance was provided to more than 470,000 beneficiaries, and more than 120,000 were exempted from work visa fees, underscoring the state's commitment to providing a dignified life for this valued segment of society and removing obstacles in their path.

Technological solutions to enhance quality of life

The ministry didn't stop at financial support; it also harnessed technology to serve people. Through its unified application, it provided high-quality services such as a visual guide for the blind, real-time sign language interpretation, and digital maps to identify accessible locations. These steps enhance the inclusion of people with disabilities in society and grant them greater independence, which is central to the Quality of Life Program, one of the ambitious Vision 2030 initiatives.

Empowering orphans and promoting social responsibility

Regarding orphan care, national strategies have resulted in the employment of 80% of orphans seeking work and the training of over 3,200 young men and women for the job market, a step aimed at ensuring a stable future for them. In parallel, the social responsibility sector has witnessed remarkable growth, with the percentage of companies contributing to community programs rising to 72%, and the cooperative sector expanding to 558 associations, reflecting the maturity of the non-profit sector and its increasing contribution to comprehensive national development.
