In this context, artist Nadia Mustafa, a member of the board of directors of the Musicians Syndicate and a friend of the family, came forward to reassure Hani Shaker's fans and admirers in Egypt and the Arab world. She confirmed via her official Facebook page that the artist's health is completely stable, denying rumors of serious complications.
Mustafa explained that Hani Shaker had already left the hospital after receiving the necessary medical care following the surgery he underwent on one of the vertebrae of his spine, and he is currently at home to complete his recovery period, stressing his full commitment to the instructions of the treating medical team, which recommended complete rest to ensure full recovery.
Reasons for surgery and postponing parties
Sources close to the artist revealed that the surgery was a result of significant physical strain suffered by the "Prince of Arab Song" over the past three months. He had undertaken a series of successful tours that included the United States, several Gulf countries, Jordan, and Lebanon, in addition to performing major concerts in Egypt. This increased exertion took a toll on his spine, necessitating surgery that doctors described as "not serious" but requiring mandatory rest for at least two weeks.
As a result of this emergency health situation, the companies organizing Hani Shaker’s concert, which was scheduled to be held on January 23 at the “Teatro Arkan” theater, announced the postponement of the concert to a new date set for Thursday, April 2, while confirming that all tickets sold for the new date will remain valid.
