The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its leading role in humanitarian work by providing ongoing support to those affected in Yemen. In this context, mobile medical clinics operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued to provide vital services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Haradh district of Hajjah Governorate. These clinics successfully provided healthcare and treatment to 104 beneficiaries in just one week, from March 25 to 31, reflecting a deep commitment to alleviating human suffering and providing care to those most in need.

The humanitarian crisis in Yemen has its roots in years of conflict that have displaced millions of civilians from their homes in search of safety. Hajjah Governorate, and specifically Haradh District, has witnessed some of the largest waves of displacement due to its geographical location and the surrounding security situation. Given the significant challenges facing the health infrastructure in many Yemeni cities, the urgent need for shelter camps equipped with basic services has become apparent. This underscores the critical importance of the interventions undertaken by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre to ensure the survival of these displaced people and provide them with their most basic rights to essential healthcare and disease prevention.
Details of medical care provided to beneficiaries
The mobile medical clinics treated a wide range of patients across various essential specialties. A total of 104 beneficiaries visited the clinics, with the infectious disease control clinic receiving the most patients (40), reflecting proactive efforts to prevent disease outbreaks in the densely populated camp environment. The emergency clinic treated 22 individuals requiring urgent medical intervention, while the internal medicine clinic provided services to 28 beneficiaries. The clinics also addressed women's and family health, with the reproductive health clinic treating 7 patients, in addition to 7 beneficiaries visiting the health awareness and education section, which plays a pivotal role in raising awareness and promoting prevention.
Accompanying services and dispensing of medications
In addition to medical examinations, the clinics provided a comprehensive range of support services to ensure the completion of treatment plans. In this regard, the nursing services department attended to 97 patients who received the necessary care. To protect the environment and public health within the camp, two activities were conducted specifically for the safe disposal of medical waste. Free medication was dispensed to 96 individuals, while the surgery and dressing clinic received 6 patients for first aid and minor surgical procedures.
