The secret to a successful Hajj season: early planning and exceptional quality services

Several heads of Hajj affairs offices and heads of Islamic missions from around the world affirmed that the success of this year's Hajj season was a direct result of the early planning and tireless efforts of the Saudi Arabian government. The officials explained that the quality of services provided and the smooth operational plans significantly contributed to enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind, representing a qualitative leap in crowd management and pilgrim services.

The historical development of crowd management in the holy sites

Over the decades, the holy sites in Mecca have witnessed tremendous structural and technological transformations aimed at accommodating the increasing numbers of pilgrims arriving from all corners of the earth. From the historic expansion projects of the Two Holy Mosques to the construction of the modern, multi-level Jamarat Bridge, the launch of the Holy Sites Metro, and the development of the advanced, fire-resistant tent system in Mina, these monumental projects were not born of chance. Rather, they are the product of a comprehensive strategic vision that prioritizes the safety and comfort of pilgrims, paving the way for continuous excellence in successive Hajj seasons.

International acclaim and widespread praise for the excellence of the services

The impact of this exceptional organization extends far beyond the local level, having a profound regional and international significance. Successfully managing millions of pilgrims representing over one hundred different nationalities in a specific geographic location and at a defined time sets a global benchmark for crisis management and logistics. This excellence reinforces the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position as a leader in the Islamic world and underscores its remarkable capacity to care for the holiest sites and provide a safe and accessible spiritual experience for all Muslims.

International certificates confirm the success of the Hajj season

In this context, His Excellency Sheikh Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Pakistani Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments and Minister of Hajj and Umrah, commended the exceptional services provided to Pakistani pilgrims, emphasizing that the Kingdom's government's utmost care for the guests of God was clearly demonstrated in facilitating the rituals and ensuring the pilgrims' safety. He noted that the ongoing coordination between the Pakistani mission and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah contributed to overcoming all obstacles.

For his part, the Palestinian Deputy Minister of Religious Endowments and Affairs and Head of the Hajj and Umrah Committee, Professor Issam Abdul-Halim, praised the tremendous efforts made to facilitate the journey of more than 6,000 Palestinian pilgrims. Abdul-Halim noted the smooth flow and meticulous organization of crowd movement in the holy sites, which provided psychological stability and complete tranquility for the pilgrims throughout their stay in Mecca.

Mr. Duran Bek, Head of the Kyrgyz Pilgrims Affairs Office, expressed his complete satisfaction and that of his country’s approximately 6,000 pilgrims with the high level of services in the camps and holy sites, praying to God to bless the Kingdom’s leadership for its tremendous efforts.

In a related context, General Idriss Dakouni, head of the Hajj organization in the Republic of Chad, extended his congratulations to the Kingdom on this remarkable success. Dakouni attributed this achievement to mega-projects such as the Al-Mashaaer Metro, the new Jamarat Bridge, and the expansion of the circumambulation area, on which millions of riyals are spent to provide services befitting the pilgrims to the Holy Mosque.

Strategic partnerships to enhance services and enrich the pilgrim's journey

On the other hand, Professor Mohammed Maajini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Countries Pilgrims’ Guides Company (Ashraqat), stressed the continued commitment to improving the services provided by launching diverse and convenient packages through the electronic platform, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to enrich the religious and cultural experience of pilgrims.

In the same context, Professor Mohammed Al-Khuzami, CEO of “Rehlat wa Manafaa” Company, stressed the need to harness all human and technical capabilities to provide the utmost comfort and facilitation for pilgrims, to enable them to perform their rituals in a spiritual atmosphere filled with tranquility and security, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince.
