The goal is to support 1945 children through the Qura program in the fourth quarter of 2025

The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has released recent statistics regarding its "Qurrah" program, which supports childcare for working women. The number of beneficiaries of the program during the fourth quarter of 2025 reached approximately 1,945 children across various regions of the Kingdom. These figures underscore the Fund's ongoing commitment to enhancing job stability for Saudi women and removing obstacles that may hinder their active participation in the labor market.

Enhancing women's empowerment in light of Vision 2030

This support comes within the framework of concerted national efforts aligned with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has placed great emphasis on empowering women and increasing their economic participation. The "Qurrah" program is one of the qualitative initiatives launched by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) to reduce the gap between childcare costs and working mothers' salaries, thus directly encouraging Saudi women to join and remain in the workforce, and ensuring a supportive and stable work environment for them.

Riyadh leads the way, and the Eastern Province strengthens its position

The detailed data showed a disparity in the benefit rates between the regions of the Kingdom, with three main regions (Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Makkah) receiving the vast majority of the support, amounting to 79.4%.

  • Riyadh region: It came in first place with a total of 831 children, which represents 42.7% of the total beneficiaries, reflecting the large size of economic activity and the density of the female workforce in the capital.
  • The Eastern Province ranked second, supporting 426 children, representing approximately 21.9%. This figure reflects the growing employment of women in the region, which is experiencing significant industrial and commercial activity, confirming the success of localization programs in attracting female talent to various sectors.
  • Makkah Region: It came in third with 288 beneficiary children.

Distributing support to the remaining regions

The support was not limited to major regions but extended across the Kingdom, with Madinah benefiting 106 children, followed by Asir with 81. The remaining children were distributed in varying proportions across Qassim, Hail, the Northern Borders, Najran, Tabuk, Jazan, Al-Baha, and Al-Jawf, reflecting the program's comprehensiveness and the Fund's commitment to reaching beneficiaries in all governorates and cities.

The importance of the “Qurrah” program for job security

The Qurrah program primarily aims to enhance job stability for Saudi female employees by covering a portion of childcare costs at approved centers. This initiative provides a practical solution to the challenge of childcare, which has been a significant obstacle for many mothers. This, in turn, boosts employee productivity and provides the peace of mind necessary to focus on their professional responsibilities, ultimately contributing to the sustainability of Saudization in the private sector.
