The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the arrival and settlement of 2,500 pilgrims participating in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests for Hajj, Umrah and Visit. The pilgrims settled into their camps, equipped to the highest standards, in the holy sites on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, 1447 AH, in preparation for performing the Hajj rituals with ease and tranquility. This step is the culmination of efforts to provide the highest quality services to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God.
Hosting the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques: A long history of giving
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving pilgrims to the Holy Mosque dates back decades, as it has undertaken the responsibility of facilitating the Hajj pilgrimage for Muslims from all corners of the globe since its founding. This program represents an extension of the long-standing approach adopted by the Saudi leadership to host thousands of Muslims annually, especially those who have made significant sacrifices or face exceptional circumstances in their home countries. Hosting the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is not merely an annual initiative, but a living embodiment of the noble Islamic message that the Kingdom upholds, which aims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity among the peoples of the Muslim Ummah and provide a safe and spiritually enriching environment that enables them to perform the fifth pillar of Islam with ease.
A comprehensive operational plan to ensure the comfort of pilgrims
His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and General Supervisor of the program, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, affirmed that the Kingdom's efforts and massive projects, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – to serve pilgrims in general, embody the utmost care this blessed land bestows upon Islam and Muslims. The Ministry has dedicated all its human and logistical resources to serving the guests, transporting them via a large fleet of modern, air-conditioned buses, according to a precise operational plan. The transportation process involved specialized field personnel, supported by accompanying ambulances to ensure their health and physical safety throughout their movement between the holy sites.
Strategic dimensions and global impact in serving the pilgrims
The impact of these generous initiatives extends far beyond Saudi Arabia, encompassing broad regional and international dimensions. Domestically, these efforts reflect the efficiency of the Kingdom's infrastructure and the capabilities of its national workforce in managing crowds and providing complex logistical, health, and security services in record time. Regionally and internationally, hosting thousands of pilgrims from dozens of countries contributes to strengthening the Kingdom's soft power and highlights its leading role as the heart of the Islamic world. Furthermore, this comprehensive care leaves a profound impression on the pilgrims, who return to their homelands as ambassadors, conveying the positive image they witnessed of the development and progress in managing the Hajj season, thus enhancing the Kingdom's standing in international forums.
Feelings of gratitude and appreciation for the wise leadership
Pilgrims from around the world expressed their profound happiness and gratitude for the warm welcome, comprehensive organization, and complete care they received from the moment they arrived in the Kingdom until their stay in the holy sites. They praised the generous hospitality and high-quality services that exceeded expectations, affirming that this exceptional care reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role in serving the guests of God and underscores the wise leadership's commitment to removing all obstacles so that pilgrims can dedicate themselves to worship and supplication during these blessed days.
