12,000 practitioners graduate from the Saudi Board under the patronage of King Salman
In an exceptional event reflecting the qualitative leap witnessed by the health sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties celebrated yesterday, Wednesday, the graduation of a new batch of 12,591 male and female trainees from the Saudi Board programs and the Health Academy programs for the year 2025. The grand ceremony was held at the First Park Stadium at King Saud University, in the presence of a select group of health leaders and the families of the graduates.
The health transformation journey and Vision 2030
This large-scale graduation is a direct result of the Health Sector Transformation Program, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030. By producing these qualified professionals, the Kingdom aims to achieve self-sufficiency in specialized medical fields and enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents. The graduation of such a large number of graduates is tangible proof of the success of the Kingdom's medical education and professional training strategies, which are designed to strengthen national health security and increase life expectancy.

During the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Authority, Professor Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, affirmed that the health sector is experiencing a golden age under the wise leadership. In his address, he stated, "The growth witnessed in the Saudi Board programs and the Health Academy programs is one of the results of our healthcare transformation." His Excellency pointed out that the Kingdom is no longer content with merely training its own citizens, but has become a regional and international hub for healthcare training. The graduating class celebrated the graduation of more than 3,500 international trainees, further solidifying Saudi Arabia's position as a leading destination for advanced medical education.
Batch details and variety of specializations
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Dr. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, explained the numerical details of this graduating class, noting that it was divided into two main tracks:
First, the Saudi Board programs, which included 5,691 graduates who received rigorous specialized training according to the highest international standards, preparing them to be future leaders in various medical specialties.
Second, the Health Academy, which contributed to the graduation of 6,900 male and female students through eight specialized training programs aimed at bridging the urgent gap in technical and support staff needed by the healthcare labor market.
A message to health guardians
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Minister of Health delivered a moving message to the graduates, saying, "Today, you are not merely receiving a graduation certificate, but rather carrying a message of humanity and hope for every beneficiary." The ceremony also included the administration of the medical oath, marking the graduates' transition from training to full professional responsibility, pledging to protect human life and provide healthcare with utmost dedication and integrity.
