Global Harmony 2 concludes in Riyadh: 3.5 million visitors and 14 cultures

In a display of cultural awareness reflecting the values ​​of coexistence and tolerance embraced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Media concluded the second edition of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, held at Al-Suwaidi Park as part of Riyadh Season, in strategic partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program. The initiative achieved resounding public success, attracting over 3.5 million visitors, including citizens, residents, and tourists.

This initiative is an integral part of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically within the Quality of Life Program, which aims to improve the lifestyle of individuals and families and build a society where its members enjoy a balanced way of life. For 49 days, Al Suwaidi Park was transformed into an open-air international carnival, showcasing the cultural heritage of 14 countries: India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Ethiopia. These events offered visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the customs, traditions, and arts that distinguish these peoples in a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere.

The initiative witnessed significant artistic momentum, with the final statistics including remarkable figures:

  • More than 1200 musical and cultural performances on the initiative's stage.
  • Participation of more than international artists and creators
  • There were approximately 3,500 folk performers within specialized performance groups.
  • More than 400 exhibitors in the fields of traditional fashion, handicrafts, and fine arts.

The events were not limited to the artistic aspect only, but also included tasting experiences of the famous popular foods of each country, and handicrafts displays that took visitors on a journey through time to explore the rich heritage of the participating countries.
