The results of the 2025 Public Education Survey , officially issued by the General Authority for Statistics, revealed qualitative leaps in educational performance indicators within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the figures reflected a tangible development in the educational environment, most notably the significant increase in levels of behavioral and school discipline, in addition to strengthening the strategic partnership between the family and the school.

The context of national transformation and human capacity development

These positive results are a direct reflection of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , specifically the Human Capital Development Program, which aims to cultivate a globally competitive citizenry. These figures are not a coincidence, but rather the product of years of structural reforms in the education sector, focusing on the quality of outcomes rather than quantity, thus contributing to the creation of an attractive and stimulating learning environment conducive to creativity.

Indicators of discipline and community partnership

Statistical data revealed a high level of student commitment, with school attendance reaching 92% and absenteeism remaining at only 8%, reflecting a growing awareness of the importance of time and academic achievement. In a clear indication of the improved psychological and educational climate, 97% of students expressed enjoyment of their studies, confirming the Ministry's success in enhancing the school environment and making it more appealing.

Regarding the family role, parental participation in monitoring their children’s educational progress was recorded at 88.05%, reflecting the growing societal awareness that education is a shared responsibility between the school and the home.

Academic achievement and learning outcomes

Regarding the internal efficiency of the education system, the Kingdom achieved record figures, with a 99.6% completion rate for both primary and intermediate levels. Concurrently, in 2025, 760 schools were recognized for excellence by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.

The survey also revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes across more than 10,000 schools, with results showing that three out of every five schools improved in mathematics and four out of five in science. These subjects are fundamental to preparing a generation capable of meeting the demands of the knowledge economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

School rankings and the future of competitiveness

Schools of Excellence recorded an 18% growth, while schools in the "preparation" phase saw a sharp decline, now limited to only 6 schools nationwide. Conversely, the number of schools classified as "advanced" and "excellent" exceeded 13,000, representing approximately 58% of all primary, intermediate, and secondary schools.

These indicators carry important implications for the future of the Saudi workforce, as improving the quality of basic education leads to raising the Kingdom’s competitiveness in international indicators and enhances graduates’ opportunities in the local and regional labor market, confirming the continuity of efforts to develop and improve the comprehensive education system.
