Fares System: Self-Service Guide and New Registration Steps

The Fares system is a cornerstone of the Saudi Ministry of Education's technological infrastructure, representing a significant leap forward in human resource management within the education sector. This system is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts toward digital transformation and the automation of administrative procedures, making it easier for teachers, administrators, and faculty members to complete their employment-related transactions electronically with ease and convenience, eliminating the need to travel to educational departments or the Ministry itself.

The importance of the Fares system in the context of digital transformation

The Fares system falls under the e-government initiatives aligned with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing the efficiency of government operations and improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. The system directly contributes to strengthening administrative transparency, reducing reliance on paper transactions, and providing an accurate central database that serves decision-makers within the ministry. This transformation not only saves time and effort but also ensures the swift and accurate completion of financial and administrative transactions.

Fares System Services for Manager

The system grants specific privileges to managers to enable them to manage work teams efficiently, and the services are divided into:

  • Administrative requests: These include reporting the employee's return to work after his return from leave, submitting allowance requests for eligible employees, and submitting absence reports electronically.
  • Inquiry services: These allow the manager to view the data of his employees and follow up on the status of their current and previous requests to ensure the smooth running of work.

Fares System Employee Services (Self-Service)

Self-service is the heart of the system, enabling employees to manage their own affairs, including:

  • Applications: The ability to apply for all types of leave, early or regular retirement applications, allowance applications, in addition to services for modifying the duration of leave, cutting it off, or canceling it, and submitting a report of resumption of work after returning.
  • Inquiries and reports: Extracting payroll statements (salary details), viewing employment and historical records, reviewing basic data, tracking overtime and assignment data, as well as knowing the status of pending requests.

Steps to register in the Fares system

To benefit from these integrated services, the ministry has provided an easy registration mechanism for new employees or those who have not previously registered, through the following steps:

  1. Accessing the official Fares system website via the internet.
  2. Go to the “Self-Service” tab.
  3. Click on the “Register and Log In” option, then select “First Time Registration in Self Service”.
  4. Fill in the required personal and professional data in the designated fields with complete accuracy.
  5. Clicking on the “Log in” icon, the system will send an activation code via text message (SMS) to the registered mobile phone to activate the account and complete the process successfully.
