The context of digital transformation and professional development

Since the launch of the National Transformation Program, the Ministry of Education has sought to adopt the latest technologies to empower its teachers and administrators. The “Ab’aad” platform is one such technological achievement, providing a flexible training environment that allows employees to develop their skills without requiring full-time commitment, thus promoting the concept of sustainable professional development .

These programs are of paramount importance at the present time, as cybersecurity, risk management and governance have become fundamental pillars of any successful organization, making it imperative for education staff to be familiar with these concepts to ensure a safe and effective educational and administrative environment.

Details of training programs and registration process

The ministry explained that access to the platform is easily available through the National Unified Access , where beneficiaries can access the program list via the “My Courses” section. The platform is highly flexible, allowing for immediate registration and online tracking of progress. The current training package includes specialized and mandatory programs, most notably:

  • Cybersecurity Program (2 hours): Focuses on data protection and building a secure digital work environment, which is a basic requirement in light of the increasing digital threats globally.
  • Performance Management Program (2.5 hours): It seeks to shift the management culture from mere annual evaluation to continuous performance management to ensure quality and achieve strategic goals.

Training requirements and professional development points

To ensure the training is effective and achieves its intended benefits, the Ministry has established specific criteria for program completion, requiring a minimum score of 80% on assessments to receive certification. Certificates are issued automatically upon completion of requirements and can be downloaded via the "Apply" icon.

The ministry emphasized that these certificates are not merely honorary documents, but are officially counted towards professional development points and administrative staff's training points, positively impacting promotions and career advancement. The ministry also enabled registration for multiple programs simultaneously, while providing ongoing technical support through the "Tawasul" platform to resolve any technical difficulties users may encounter.
