Crown Prince and Erdogan discuss strengthening relations and regional developments

The Saudi capital, Riyadh, witnessed this evening a high-level Saudi-Turkish summit, where His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud , Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan , President of the Republic of Turkey, at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace.

A formal reception ceremony was held for the Turkish President, befitting the status of the distinguished guest and the depth of relations between the two countries, before His Highness the Crown Prince and the Turkish President held an expanded official meeting.

Strengthening the strategic partnership

At the start of the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince welcomed President Erdoğan to the Kingdom, emphasizing the deep fraternal ties that bind the two countries. For his part, the Turkish President expressed his pleasure at visiting the Kingdom and meeting His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, praising the significant progress the Kingdom is witnessing across various sectors.

During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the prospects for bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields were discussed, particularly in the sectors of economy, investment, defense industries, and energy, in a way that serves common interests and fulfills the aspirations of the two peoples.

A delicate regional and international context

This visit comes at a crucial time, solidifying the growing rapprochement and cooperation between the two major regional powers. Saudi-Turkish relations have witnessed significant progress recently, culminating in reciprocal visits and strategic agreements, reflecting the shared desire of both countries' leadership to elevate relations to a broader horizon of integrated partnership.

The talks extensively addressed the rapidly evolving events in the region and the world, and the efforts being made to address them. Also present from among the ministers were: Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Finance Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Turkey, Fahd bin Asaad Abu Al-Nasr.

On the Turkish side, a high-level delegation participated, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the Ministers of Energy, Defense, Finance, Industry and Trade, the Head of National Intelligence, the Head of Defense Industries, and a number of senior officials in the Turkish Presidency.
