The Cabinet congratulates on Ramadan and announces the reception of 19.5 million Umrah pilgrims

The Saudi Cabinet extended its warmest congratulations and blessings to the citizens, both men and women, and to all Muslims in the East and West, on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to make it a month of goodness and blessings, to accept fasting, prayer and good deeds, and to bring it back to the Arab and Islamic nations with prosperity and joy.
The care of the Two Holy Mosques: an honor and a responsibility
At the outset of the session, the Council expressed its gratitude and praise to God Almighty for the honor bestowed upon this blessed land of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. The Council affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both its leadership and its people, places serving the pilgrims at the forefront of its priorities, dedicating all its human and material resources to ensure the performance of the rituals with ease and tranquility. This commitment stems from the Kingdom's historical and pioneering role in safeguarding the Islamic holy sites and providing comfort to pilgrims and Umrah performers.
Record-breaking figures in line with Vision 2030
The Council reviewed performance indicators and ongoing successes in managing Hajj and Umrah seasons, commending the tangible achievements made during 2025. Thanks to God and sound strategic planning, the Kingdom was able to welcome 19.5 million pilgrims and Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom. These figures are clear evidence of the efficiency of the service and security systems and reflect the rapid progress towards achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically the Guests of God Service Program, which aims to enrich the religious and cultural experience of visitors.
Digital infrastructure and services development
These significant increases in the number of Umrah pilgrims are a direct result of the massive expansion projects at the Two Holy Mosques, the development of transportation infrastructure, including the Haramain High-Speed Railway and international airports, and the major digital transformation of arrival procedures through unified electronic platforms. These efforts underscore the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to removing all obstacles for Muslims wishing to visit the holy sites, while continuously striving to enhance the quality of services provided to a standard befitting the pilgrims' status and the sanctity of the place.
