In its massive pavilion, China showcased a wide range of its latest defense products and innovative security solutions, reflecting the rapid development of the Chinese military industries and their strong competitiveness in global markets.
The Chinese pavilion featured a selection of leading state-owned and private companies specializing in defense industries, providing visitors and official delegations with detailed explanations of their latest systems. The exhibits included advanced technologies in long-range target detection radars, precision guidance systems, high-resolution thermal imaging cameras, and world-class night vision devices. Chinese companies also focused on showcasing their capabilities in remote sensing, integrated surveillance systems, and operational and logistical support solutions for the armed forces.
This strong participation comes within the context of the growing strategic relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China, particularly in the defense and security sector. The World Defense Show, organized by the Saudi General Authority for Military Industries, is a leading global platform that brings together industry leaders and decision-makers to foster international cooperation. Chinese participation aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 , which aims to localize 50% of the Kingdom’s military spending, as Chinese companies demonstrate significant flexibility in technology transfer and joint manufacturing.
Internationally, this event is significant in highlighting the geopolitical shifts in the global arms market, as Beijing seeks to strengthen its foothold in the Middle East as a reliable partner and supplier of advanced defense technologies. Chinese exhibits extend beyond conventional equipment to include artificial intelligence solutions for defense, unmanned systems, and cybersecurity, making them attractive to many countries looking to diversify their arms sources.
The Chinese pavilion witnessed a large and enthusiastic turnout from the very first hours of the exhibition's opening, attracting military officials, security experts, and international delegations.
