The Arshdni platform enhances the efficiency of guiding Hajj buses in Makkah

The Bus Guidance Center for Hajj Pilgrims from Abroad has enhanced its pivotal role in supporting the field guidance system in Makkah by utilizing the "Guide Me" platform as a smart digital tool for directing buses and accurately tracking their routes. This strategic step aims to improve the efficiency of transporting pilgrims to their accommodations smoothly through an integrated control and monitoring unit that enables rapid response and enhances the quality of service provided, ensuring a safe and organized transportation experience befitting the status of this major Islamic event.
The evolution of the Hajj transportation system throughout history
For decades, managing crowds and transporting hundreds of thousands of pilgrims simultaneously within a limited geographical area in Mecca and the Holy Sites has posed a significant logistical challenge. Historically, bus routing relied entirely on human effort and paper-based guides, sometimes resulting in delays or traffic congestion. With the rapid development underway in Saudi Arabia, the transportation system has transitioned from traditional methods to one based on modern technologies and artificial intelligence. This historic transformation reflects the Saudi leadership's commitment to harnessing all available resources to overcome obstacles, with technology now becoming the cornerstone of traffic management and the smooth and efficient movement of pilgrims.
High accuracy is provided by the Arshadni platform for tracking trips
In this context, the Director General of the Center, Professor Abdullah Sindi, explained that the Arshdni platform operates in direct and real-time integration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's "Nusk Masar" system. This advanced technical link enables guides to have instant access to trip data and track routes with high precision. Sindi further explained that the system supports immediate communication with relevant authorities to quickly address any emergencies that may arise during transportation operations. In addition, the system allows for receiving reports, dispatching field teams, and distributing guides according to approved operational plans, ensuring on-time arrival without any delays.
The strategic impact of developing services for pilgrims
The impact of this technological advancement extends far beyond the local aspect of alleviating traffic congestion in the streets of Mecca. It encompasses significant regional and international dimensions. Internationally, the provision of advanced and seamless transportation services enriches the experience of pilgrims arriving from around the world, reflecting the Kingdom's positive image and its exceptional ability to professionally manage the largest human gatherings. This success further solidifies Saudi Arabia's position as a global role model in crowd management and the application of technology to serve humanity.
Direct supervision and alignment with Vision 2030
This ongoing development is an extension of the center's efforts, which operate under the umbrella of the Coordinating Council for Hospitality Companies and Service Providers for Pilgrims from Abroad, with the active participation of the General Syndicate of Cars, and under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. These innovative technological solutions are fully aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the quality of services provided and strengthen the efficiency of the Hajj system through more integrated and effective operational tools, thus ensuring the comfort and peace of mind of pilgrims from the moment they arrive in the Holy Land until their safe departure.
