Aramco and the Ministry of Education sign a memorandum to support volunteering and innovation
In a move reflecting the deep integration between the leading industrial sector and the education system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education. This agreement aims to establish a new phase of joint cooperation in the areas of volunteer work, social responsibility, and the development of young national talent in science and technology. The signing took place on the sidelines of the Education and Training Investment Forum 2026, held in Riyadh.

He noted that the memorandum represents a genuine investment in the Kingdom's future generations, contributing to equipping students with essential skills for the future and preparing them to seize promising opportunities, thus yielding lasting benefits for the entire community.
Expected impact and past successes
This partnership is expected to revolutionize the concept of institutional volunteering within schools, building upon previous successes. Aramco has already collaborated with the Ministry of Education and the Applied Research Center at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals on the Schools Volunteer Program, launched in 2023. That program achieved record-breaking results, with over 131,000 volunteers contributing more than 1.25 million volunteer hours across 892 schools, demonstrating the readiness of the educational environment to embrace further developmental initiatives that foster values of giving and innovation among young people.
