Qiddiya: The beating heart of Vision 2030

This announcement culminates ongoing efforts to transform Qiddiya into a global capital for entertainment, sports, and culture—a goal envisioned by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Qiddiya project is a cornerstone of the national strategy to diversify income sources, contributing to a higher quality of life for citizens and residents, as well as attracting tourists from around the world, thus strengthening the Kingdom's position as a leading tourist destination.

Record-breaking numbers and exceptional experiences at Six Flags

During the government press conference, Al-Dawood explained that the opening of Six Flags marks the beginning of a series of consecutive openings encompassing 70 diverse attractions within the city. The theme park is distinguished as the largest of its kind in the Middle East, boasting five world record-breaking rides. Leading these is the Falcon Flight roller coaster, which alone has broken three world records, making it a dream destination for thrill-seekers worldwide.

Rapid developments in Aquaribia and infrastructure

In a related development, the Managing Director revealed that work on the Aquaribia water park is progressing steadily, with completion reaching 95%, placing it in the final stages before opening. He also noted that construction is accelerating on seven other key assets, announcing the completion of the first phase of infrastructure work for Qiddiya City, paving the way for welcoming visitors and investors.

The future of sports and the 2034 World Cup

The discussion wasn't limited to entertainment; it extended to the sporting aspect, which Qiddiya prioritizes. Al-Dawood confirmed that the city's racetrack will host Formula 1 races, placing Qiddiya on the global motorsports map. Furthermore, work is underway to prepare Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium as an architectural and sporting masterpiece ready to host matches for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, reflecting the integration of Qiddiya's projects with the major international events the Kingdom anticipates.

Boosting the hospitality sector

To complement its integrated services, Qiddiya Investment Company aims to open 20 hotels in the coming period, ensuring a variety of upscale accommodation options for the expected large influx of visitors. These statements were made during a government press conference hosted by Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossari, which focused on the Kingdom's latest developments and achievements.
