The Al-Sarar Municipality in the Eastern Province announced the successful completion of the road paving project in the Al-Masif neighborhood, covering a total area of 7,353 square meters. This vital step is part of the municipality's ongoing strategy to develop and improve the internal road network and enhance traffic safety for the benefit of the area's residents and visitors.
Enhancing infrastructure and quality of life
This project is an integral part of the comprehensive national efforts underway in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's municipal and rural affairs sector, aimed at realizing the objectives of Vision 2030, specifically the Quality of Life Program. These projects seek to develop the infrastructure in rural villages and centers affiliated with the governorates, ensuring that development services reach all citizens and facilitating traffic flow, which will positively impact the psychological well-being and public safety of residents.
Project details and objectives
The Mayor of Al-Sarar, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, explained that the completion of the road paving project in Al-Masif village is part of a series of development projects the municipality is currently undertaking. Mr. Al-Dosari emphasized the municipality's commitment to applying the highest quality standards and approved technical specifications in road projects to ensure their sustainability and operational efficiency over the long term. The project primarily aims to:
- Improving the efficiency of the internal road network in Al-Hijrah.
- Facilitating the movement of citizens and residents and their access to services.
- Enhancing the flow of traffic and reducing accidents.
Improving the urban landscape and addressing visual pollution
In addition to its traffic benefits, the paving project directly contributes to improving the urban landscape of the region, a key focus of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing. Clean, paved roads eliminate the visual pollution caused by unpaved or dilapidated roads, and enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential neighborhoods. Municipalities in the Eastern Province are working collaboratively to achieve a healthy and sustainable urban environment.
Ongoing commitment to local development
The municipality concluded by affirming its continued work on implementing the approved plans for future development projects, noting that the development process will not stop here, but will include more maintenance and development work that meets the aspirations of the residents and keeps pace with the urban renaissance that the Kingdom is witnessing.
