Visiting times to the Prophet's Mosque during Ramadan 1445 via Nusk

A meticulously organized approach to enhance the spiritual experience

With the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced the organized schedule for visiting the Rawdah Al-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) in the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. This step comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to manage the movement of millions of visitors and pilgrims who flock to the Two Holy Mosques during the blessed month, with the aim of enabling them to perform their acts of worship and visits with ease, tranquility, and in a highly spiritual atmosphere.

The importance of the Holy Garden and its historical significance

The Rawdah al-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet Muhammad's grave and his pulpit) holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise." This great virtue makes praying there and visiting it a cherished aspiration for every Muslim, leading to severe overcrowding, especially during peak seasons like Ramadan. Therefore, organizing visits is essential to ensure the safety of visitors and allow as many as possible to attain this honor.

The impact of organization on visitor experience

Booking appointments in advance through the Nusk app not only effectively manages crowds but also enhances the visitor's spiritual experience. Instead of pushing and shoving and waiting for hours, visitors can book a specific time slot and arrive on schedule, ensuring smooth entry and allowing them to perform their prayers and supplications in an atmosphere of devotion and tranquility. This digital organization reflects the development of services provided to pilgrims, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to enrich the religious experience for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Visiting schedule during Ramadan

The authority explained that the appointments were divided to include different periods for men and women, taking into account the change in visitor density between the first twenty days and the last ten days of the month.

Visiting times during the first twenty days:

  • For men: Two periods have been allocated; the first period starts from 2:30 am until Fajr prayer, while the second period starts from 11:30 am until Isha prayer.
  • For women: Two periods have also been allocated; the first period starts from after Fajr prayer until 11:00 AM, and the second period starts from 11:30 PM until 2:00 AM.

Visiting times during the last ten days:

Due to the increased number of worshippers and those observing Itikaf during the last ten days in search of Laylat al-Qadr, the times have been modified as follows:

  • For men: The periods remain the same for the first twenty to ensure continuity of service.
  • For women: One period has been set from 11:30 PM until 2:00 AM.

Advance booking via the “Nusk” app is required

The authority emphasized that visiting the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah) requires a valid permit obtained through the government's "Nusk" application. It urged all visitors to adhere to the times specified in their permits and to comply with the regulations issued by the staff at the Prophet's Mosque, which will facilitate their movement and provide a safe and organized experience for everyone.
