Al-Maghlouth and Al-Jada'i discuss enhancing media integration between the media, food, and drug sectors

In a move aimed at unifying government efforts and raising the efficiency of communication messages directed to the public, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Information, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, met with His Excellency the CEO of the General Authority for Food and Drug, Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey, in the presence of a number of executive leaders from both sides.

During the meeting, ways to enhance media integration between the Ministry and the Authority were discussed, and mechanisms for coordinating joint efforts were explored to ensure that awareness messages and quality initiatives reach the widest possible segment of beneficiaries, whether citizens or residents in the Kingdom.

The importance of strategic partnership

This meeting comes at a time when the Kingdom is witnessing comprehensive development initiatives within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, where the media plays a pivotal role in highlighting national achievements and raising public awareness. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is a vital entity that directly impacts individuals' daily lives, making its partnership with the Ministry of Media a cornerstone for ensuring the accuracy of information related to the safety of food, drugs, and medical devices, and for combating rumors and misinformation that could affect public health.

Enhancing digital awareness content

The two sides discussed the importance of leveraging digital tools and modern platforms to create impactful media content. This collaboration aims to develop joint awareness campaigns focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and raising awareness of regulations and standards that ensure product safety in the market. The two parties also seek to exchange expertise in media monitoring and crisis communication management, thereby enhancing the speed of response to any public health emergency.

Integration of government efforts

This meeting reflects the commitment of government sectors to work as a unified team, with the Ministry of Information serving as a supportive and enabling umbrella for all government entities to deliver their messages clearly and transparently. These discussions are expected to result in the launch of high-quality media initiatives in the coming period, contributing to raising the level of food and pharmaceutical awareness within the community and supporting the Authority's efforts to perform its regulatory and oversight role with high efficiency.
