The Governor of Al-Jawf supports the project of a rehabilitation complex for children with disabilities in Sakaka
As part of ongoing support for developmental and social initiatives in the Al-Jawf region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jawf, held an important meeting in his office today to review the details of the “Children with Disabilities Rehabilitation Complex” project in Sakaka. This unique project represents a vital addition to the services provided to this important segment of society, aligning with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to build a vibrant and inclusive society.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of the Association for Children with Disabilities, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, and the representative of the project’s consulting body, Engineer Majid bin Mohammed Al-Harsani, along with a number of officials, including the Deputy Governor of the Emirate, Hussein bin Mohammed Al Sultan, the Special Advisor to His Highness the Emir of the region, who oversees the Vision Realization Office, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sinani, and the Secretary of Al-Jawf, Engineer Atef Al-Shar’an.
An ambitious vision for integrated service
During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was given about the project, which will be built on an area of approximately 15,000 square meters. The complex is a non-profit development project aimed at bringing about a qualitative leap in specialized services provided to children with disabilities in the northern region. The project seeks to enhance the efficiency of educational and therapeutic programs offered to them, in accordance with the highest professional standards and international best practices.
The complex will include several key, integrated facilities, such as a boys' school and a girls' school, a daycare center, and an advanced rehabilitation center offering specialized services like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and behavioral therapy. This integration ensures a seamless therapeutic and educational journey for the child, supporting their empowerment and promoting their integration into society.
An embodiment of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030
This project is not just a service building, but a living embodiment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to empowering people with disabilities and guaranteeing their rights. It is one of the fundamental pillars of the Quality of Life and Human Capital Program within Vision 2030. The wise leadership pays great attention to supporting the non-profit sector to play a pivotal role in community development, and this project, led by the Association for Children with Disabilities, with its long history of serving this group, is a prime example of that.
The establishment of such specialized complexes in different regions contributes to achieving balanced development and relieves the burden on families who previously had to travel to major cities to obtain advanced rehabilitation services for their children.

The meeting reviewed the project's architectural design, which draws inspiration from the local architectural style of the Al-Jawf region while incorporating environmentally friendly building standards to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency. His Royal Highness the Prince of Al-Jawf emphasized the importance of supporting impactful initiatives that contribute to improving quality of life and empowering people with disabilities. He also commended the role of the non-profit sector in achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the generous support it receives from the wise leadership.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Al-Tamimi and Engineer Al-Harsani expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Prince of the region for his support and interest, stressing that his directives represent an incentive to complete the project and achieve its developmental goals to serve the children of the region.
