The Al-Jabr family hosts the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce Council: Reinforcing the values of communication

In an evening that blended the charm of the past with the aspirations of the future, the esteemed Al-Jabr family hosted members of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce's board of directors from the previous and current terms at their farm in Saihat. The event was attended by a distinguished group of business leaders and prominent figures from the Eastern Province. This gathering reflects the deep and strong social bonds uniting the business community in the region and is a continuation of the region's long-standing traditions of hospitality.
The legacy of Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Jabr: A school of communication
This generous hosting is an extension of an annual initiative and a long-standing social tradition established by the late patriarch of the family, Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Jabr – may God have mercy on him. The late Sheikh was known for his unwavering commitment to fostering communication and solidarity among all segments of the economic community, believing that human relationships are the bedrock of any commercial or social success. This gathering is a testament to this noble approach and a reaffirmation of the family's continued dedication to following in the footsteps of its founders in strengthening national unity.
Recalling the history of trade in the Gulf
During the meeting, Professor Abdullah bin Abdul Latif Al-Jabr delivered a moving speech on behalf of the family, welcoming the attendees and thanking the outgoing council members for their efforts, while also congratulating the new members. His speech went beyond a simple welcome, delving into the social and economic history of the region, highlighting the ethics and noble values of Saudi merchants throughout the ages.
Al-Jabr cited shining examples of Saudi families who engaged in trade in Bahrain at the beginning of the 20th century, highlighting the social role of these trading houses, which served as a haven for guests and those in need, opening their doors for days and weeks to meet people's needs. He emphasized that these values were not merely fleeting behaviors, but a way of life that permeated the commercial practices and charitable contributions we see today throughout the Kingdom, with the support and encouragement of the wise leadership.
Eastern Province Chamber: An economic engine and a strategic partnership
For his part, Mr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Faraj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, delivered a speech in which he commended the Al-Jabr family's initiative, emphasizing the dynamism of the business community in the Eastern Province. The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce holds significant strategic importance as it represents the commercial and industrial voice in the oil and industrial capital of the Gulf, making harmony among its members and business leaders vital to the national economy.
Al-Faraj affirmed the Council’s commitment to working diligently to serve the business environment and support the aspirations of the private sector, stressing the pivotal role that the Chamber plays in achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which relies heavily on the private sector to diversify sources of income and lead sustainable development.
This meeting embodies many meanings. It is not just a protocol meeting, but rather an embodiment of the spirit of one family that characterizes Saudi society, where efforts are combined and visions are unified between the private sector and commercial institutions to serve the nation and the citizen.
