Al-Baha is adorned for Ramadan: lanterns, crescent moons, and comprehensive service and monitoring plans

As the blessed month of Ramadan approaches, the streets and public squares of Al-Baha region have been transformed into illuminated works of art, adorned with festive Ramadan decorations that reflect the spirituality of the holy month. Authorities in the region have been working diligently to install decorative sculptures, traditional lanterns, and illuminated crescent moons that adorn main roads and entrances, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and joy for residents and visitors alike, in anticipation of the month of fasting.
Early preparations and a comprehensive plan
In the context of intensive preparations, the Mayor of Al-Baha Region, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Suwat, affirmed that the municipality has spared no effort in implementing its operational plan for Ramadan this year. He explained that field teams began their work early to prepare the main squares and streets in Al-Baha city and all its affiliated governorates. This work included installing modern lighting displays and sculptures inspired by Islamic heritage and the spirituality of the month, with the aim of enhancing the region's urban landscape and highlighting its aesthetic character, which harmonizes with its stunning mountainous nature.
Preparing the infrastructure and serving the worshippers
Preparations were not limited to aesthetics but also included improving essential services. Technical teams worked on maintaining and beautifying major intersections and preparing the squares and areas surrounding mosques to accommodate the increased number of worshippers during Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers. Public cleaning efforts were intensified, and the efficiency of roads leading to places of worship and markets was improved to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide a safe and suitable environment for pedestrians and drivers during peak hours before Iftar and in the evening.
Intensive health monitoring to ensure safety
Recognizing the importance of food safety during this season of increased commercial and consumer activity, Dr. Al-Suwat noted that the municipality has intensified its inspection tours of markets, restaurants, and food establishments. These campaigns aim to ensure strict adherence to health requirements and preventative measures, safeguarding consumer health and safety, and guaranteeing the provision of high-quality services befitting the sanctity of the holy month.
Al-Baha is a distinctive Ramadan destination
These facilities are particularly important in the Al-Baha region, a prominent tourist destination in Saudi Arabia. Thanks to its moderate climate and enchanting natural beauty, Al-Baha's Ramadan atmosphere offers a unique experience for visitors and tourists. These municipal efforts enhance the region's appeal and create social spaces where families can enjoy Ramadan nights in an atmosphere of compassion and social solidarity, reflecting the positive image of integrated municipal services that meet the aspirations of the leadership and citizens.
