Al-Ahsa Technology wins the VEX U National Robotics Champions Award

In a remarkable achievement reflecting the development of national expertise in modern technology, the Technical College in Al-Ahsa secured first place and won the "Champions of the Tournament" award in the VEX U National Competition for university students. This prominent technological event was held at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, under the direct supervision and organization of the Saudi Federation for Robotics and Wireless Sports, which strives to promote a culture of innovation in the Kingdom.
Strategic alliance and shared excellence
This victory was no accident; it was the fruit of a distinguished strategic alliance between the Al-Ahsa Technical College (for boys) and the Al-Ahsa Technical College (for girls) (HAS5). This alliance comprised a select group of male and female trainees who demonstrated exceptional competence and remarkable teamwork. The team successfully overcame the complex challenges of the competition, from leadership and precise robot control skills to the autonomous programming stages, which demanded advanced engineering and programming skills, all under the guidance of a team of specialized technical experts.
Keeping pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in digital transformation
This achievement comes within the context of the significant technological advancements taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on developing human capabilities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Robotics competitions like VEX U serve as vital platforms for honing the skills of Saudi youth, moving them from theory to practical application, thus enhancing their readiness to lead the future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence in the Kingdom.
The importance of the event and its impact on national competencies
For his part, the Dean of the Technical College in Al-Ahsa, Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Duhailan, affirmed that this achievement reflects the high quality of the training programs offered by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. He pointed out that winning the championship award is not merely a title, but a true indicator of the college's excellence in preparing national talents capable of competing not only locally, but also internationally. He added that such participation raises the aspirations of the trainees and enhances their readiness to represent the Kingdom in upcoming global events.
Towards globalization and the future
This championship is particularly important as it serves as the primary gateway to international and global robotics competitions. This victory is expected to open new horizons for the winning team members, both in terms of furthering their innovative journeys and by attracting the attention of major technology companies seeking young talent with problem-solving, creative thinking, and the ability to work under pressure – essential skills that VEX championships cultivate in their participants.
