Al-Ahsa honors the winners of the Cybersecurity Pioneers competition
Under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa , the governorate witnessed today, Monday, the ceremony honoring the winners of the “Cybersecurity Pioneers” competition, where the Deputy Governor of Al-Ahsa, Mr. Muath Al-Jaafari, crowned the teams and schools that achieved the top positions, in the presence of the Director General of Education in Al-Ahsa Governorate, Mr. Tawashi bin Yousef Al-Kinani, and a group of leaders from Saudi Aramco, and representatives of the governmental and private sectors.
Enhancing digital security and keeping pace with Vision 2030
This competition comes at a crucial national juncture, coinciding with the significant strides Saudi Arabia is making in digital transformation and cybersecurity. Such educational initiatives are a cornerstone of achieving the goals of Vision 2030 , which places great emphasis on building a secure and robust digital infrastructure. These programs aim to cultivate a rising generation of young Saudis capable of protecting the nation's cyberspace, particularly given the Kingdom's leading position in global indicators in this field, necessitating continuous investment in human capital from the earliest stages of education.
A tour of the Digital Innovation Exhibition
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Deputy Governor toured the accompanying exhibition, visiting the booths of the participating teams and schools. The students showcased their innovative projects and initiatives, demonstrating a high level of awareness regarding cybersecurity risks and methods of protection. This highlights the success of the strategic partnership between the Education Department and the private sector, represented by Saudi Aramco, in supporting young talent.

In his address at the ceremony, the Director General of Education in Al-Ahsa Governorate, Mr. Tawashi Al-Kinani, emphasized that educational institutions represent the first line of defense in disseminating cybersecurity awareness. He pointed out that the competition is not merely a fleeting contest, but rather an effective educational tool for instilling the concepts of good digital citizenship and motivating students to research and innovate in the fields of modern technology.
For his part, the Deputy Governor of Al-Ahsa praised the great support that His Highness the Governor gives to digital awareness programs, stressing that protecting the digital society begins with enhancing awareness among the youth, and at the same time praising the outcomes of the competition, which herald a promising future for national talents in the technology sector.
