The areas of cooperation outlined in the memorandum include coordinating efforts and activities of mutual interest, organizing reciprocal official visits, and actively participating in exhibitions and conferences that serve this purpose.
The memorandum also focused on the importance of introducing national companies and factories, and exchanging experiences, information and data that contribute to achieving institutional integration, ensuring the unification of media and promotional messages for national products, and taking advantage of the channels available to both parties to reach wider segments of the target audience.
Context of the event and the importance of the “Made in Saudi Arabia” exhibition
The “Made in Saudi Arabia” exhibition is a vital platform that brings together leading national industries and Saudi companies, aiming to showcase the quality and competitiveness of local products. The signing of this agreement during the third edition of the exhibition underscores the strategic importance the Kingdom places on the industrial and export sectors, recognizing them as a cornerstone for diversifying national income sources and reducing dependence on oil.
This cooperation is of particular importance given the pivotal role that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs can play through its various platforms and channels at home and abroad, in promoting the industrial identity of the Kingdom, which enhances the Kingdom’s soft power and links the economic aspect with the cultural and Islamic dimension.
Government integration and Vision 2030
This agreement exemplifies the integration of various government sectors, aligning the objectives of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs with the aspirations of the Ministry of Industry and the Saudi Export Development Authority to serve the nation's best interests. This collaboration contributes to achieving the goals of Vision 2030, particularly regarding increasing the share of non-oil exports in the GDP and strengthening the Kingdom's position as a global logistics and industrial hub.
This partnership is expected to result in practical initiatives that will contribute to opening new markets for Saudi products and enhancing confidence in the national industry, which will positively impact the national economy and support the comprehensive development process that the Kingdom is witnessing on various levels.
