Adel al-Jubeir will discuss security and climate issues at the Munich 2026 conference
His Excellency Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir , Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, continued his intensive diplomatic activity in Munich, Germany, on the sidelines of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in the Munich Security Conference 2026. He held a series of important bilateral meetings with European and British leaders, which focused primarily on strengthening strategic partnerships and discussing the security and political challenges facing the world.
Strengthening the Saudi-British partnership
At the start of his meetings, Al-Jubeir met with Edward Llewellyn, Director General for Political Affairs at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. During the meeting, views were exchanged on international and regional developments, as the Kingdom plays a pivotal role in the stability of global energy markets and the security of the region, which makes coordination with the European side an urgent necessity to confront the current crises.
