Results of the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon: Winners' Names and Million-Dollar Prizes

In a significant technological event reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to fostering a digital innovation ecosystem, the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Tuwaiq Academy, concluded the "Absher Tuwaiq" hackathon, one of the world's largest technology gatherings. This event, held as part of the preparations for the "Absher 2025" conference, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, reaffirms the Kingdom's leadership in e-government and smart solutions.

Enhancing digital transformation and keeping pace with Vision 2030

The "Absher Tuwaiq" hackathon is not just a fleeting tech competition; it's part of a broader strategic context aimed at achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in building a digital society and a knowledge-based economy. The "Absher" platform boasts a long and distinguished history as one of the first and most successful government service platforms in the Middle East, having contributed over the years to simplifying the lives of millions. This hackathon aims to build upon this legacy by infusing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that will contribute to developing the Ministry's services and creating proactive solutions to technological challenges.

Global partnerships and rigorous arbitration standards

The three-day event, held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center (December 11-13), witnessed fierce competition among a select group of Saudi Arabia's brightest minds. The event was distinguished by its judging panels, which operated according to the highest international standards to ensure the quality of the final presentations. Adding to the event's significance was its extensive network of strategic partnerships, which included 20 local and international partners, among them technology giants such as NVIDIA, Meta, Google Cloud, and Huawei. These partnerships extended beyond sponsorship to include the provision of specialized workshops to equip participants with the latest technological tools.

The closing ceremony culminated in the announcement of the 15 teams that qualified to win prizes totaling SAR 1,000,000, in addition to special support of SAR 450,000 provided by the National Information Technology Development Program (NTDP). This hackathon is part of the "Absher Tuwaiq" initiative, which aimed to empower over 100,000 beneficiaries across seven technology tracks in 16 cities throughout the Kingdom. All eyes are now on the flagship event, the "Absher" 2025 Conference, scheduled to take place from December 17-19 in Riyadh, in strategic partnership with the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The conference is expected to showcase the latest national innovations resulting from these events, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a regional and international hub for technology and innovation.
