16 million electronic transactions via the Absher platform in April 2026

The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced record-breaking figures, with over 16.5 million electronic transactions processed through the Absher platform during April 2026. This impressive number reflects the growing reliance on digital services by citizens, residents, and visitors, highlighting the platform's success in providing seamless and reliable services across its various sectors, whether through "Absher Individuals" or "Absher Business."
The journey of digital transformation: From beginnings to leading government services
This achievement was not a sudden occurrence, but rather the culmination of a long journey of technological development. Since its inception, the Ministry of Interior has strived to transform traditional services, which previously required in-person visits and consumed time and effort, into fully integrated electronic services that can be completed with the click of a button. This digital system is now one of the most important pillars of digital transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build an effective e-government that enhances the quality of life and facilitates government procedures for all beneficiaries.

Overall impact: How has the Absher platform changed the service landscape locally and internationally?
The impact of the Absher platform goes beyond mere statistics, extending to a fundamental transformation of daily life locally. The platform has contributed to saving millions of wasted hours, reducing traffic congestion, lowering carbon emissions from commuting, and drastically decreasing paper consumption, thus supporting environmental sustainability efforts.
At both the regional and international levels, these successive achievements have solidified the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position as a leading model in providing digital government services. This remarkable progress is reflected in the Kingdom's continued advancement in the United Nations' e-government development indicators. Furthermore, the unified digital identities issued by the Ministry of Interior through the platform enable beneficiaries to secure and reliable access not only to the Ministry's services but also to various government and private entities via the National Unified Access Portal "Nafath," creating an integrated and secure digital environment that meets global best practices.
