New Absher services 2025: Artificial intelligence and personal assistant

The Saudi capital, Riyadh, witnessed the launch of the “Absher 2025 Conference”, organized by the Ministry of Interior in strategic cooperation with the Tuwaiq Academy, where the Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Engineer Thamer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, revealed a package of qualitative digital launches that inaugurate a new phase in the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey, relying mainly on generative and proxy artificial intelligence technologies.
Smart services that enhance quality of life
The new announcements included the launch of the “Absher Assistant” service, a significant leap forward in user experience. This service allows users to complete their transactions through AI-powered commands, reducing both effort and time. Simultaneously, the “Comprehensive Field” system was unveiled, aiming to digitally unify field work tools, thereby enhancing the efficiency of security personnel and strengthening public safety through standardized and integrated procedures.
Empowering leaders and supporting decision-making
As part of efforts to enhance the ministry's internal environment, the "Security Chats" service was launched to provide encrypted and secure communication channels for ministry staff, in addition to the "Talk to Your Data" service. This latter service represents an interactive, intelligent interface that enables leaders and employees to directly access and analyze vast amounts of operational data, supporting decision-making based on accurate facts and real-time analysis.
Security and safety in the data age
The ministry did not neglect the emergency aspect, launching the “Central Reporting Database,” which serves as the unified national reference for emergency reports. This system relies on analyzing reports from the Unified Security Operations Center (911) using artificial intelligence algorithms, contributing to faster response times, anticipating risks before they occur, and enhancing crisis management efficiency.
The context of digital transformation and Vision 2030
These launches are the culmination of a long journey of technological development led by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, which has made the “Absher” platform a global model for e-government. Since its inception, the platform has contributed to transforming thousands of services from paper-based to digital, saving billions of riyals and working hours. Today’s integration of artificial intelligence underscores the Ministry’s commitment to the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to build a digital society and an efficient government.
Expected impact locally and regionally
These new services are expected to enhance Saudi Arabia's standing in the United Nations' e-government development indicators, where the Kingdom already holds a leading position globally. Furthermore, the shift from simply "automating" services to "intelligent" services will boost transparency, improve the quality of life for citizens and residents, and establish the Saudi model for managing security and civil services as a benchmark for regional countries seeking to develop their digital infrastructure.
