22,000 field staff and 13,000 cleaning workers to serve pilgrims in Mecca and the holy sites

revealed The Holy Capital Municipality that it is continuing to implement its operational and field plans for the Hajj season, through a system of municipal, operational and regulatory services, with the aim of raising the level of readiness in Makkah and the Holy Sites, and improving the quality of services provided to the guests of God, in line with the quality of life objectives, and contributing to providing a healthy and safe environment during the season.

The Secretariat explained that it has deployed more than 22,000 field staff working around the clock in various vital locations, supported by more than 3,000 pieces of equipment and machinery, to enhance response speed, raise operational performance efficiency, and ensure the continuity of municipal services in accordance with readiness and efficiency standards.

On the health and food control side, the Secretariat indicated that it has strengthened the control system by operating 5 fixed and mobile laboratories with an analytical capacity exceeding 1,300 samples per day, to support field control work, and to ensure food safety and compliance with health requirements in food establishments.

Regarding cleaning and environmental sanitation work, the Secretariat indicated the employment of more than 13,000 cleaning workers, and the provision of more than 88,000 cleaning units distributed in the holy sites and central areas, in addition to the operation of 1,235 compactor boxes, within a system for managing waste and maintaining the cleanliness of public sites and reducing congestion.

The Secretariat also activated 66 municipal service centers to cover various locations in Makkah and the holy sites, in addition to operating 95 field emergency teams, with the aim of enhancing preparedness and raising the efficiency of dealing with emergency cases during the Hajj season.

The Secretariat affirmed its support for its operational plans withsmart systems and digital platforms, and the utilization of modern technologies in monitoring field work and improving performance efficiency, which contributes to raising the quality of services and speed of response.

She explained that these efforts are part of its comprehensive operational plan forthe Hajj season, which aims to raise the level of municipal readiness, improve the urban landscape, and enhance the efficiency of services provided to the pilgrims in Makkah and the holy sites.
