The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture highlighted several practices that support environmental sustainability, including the use of sustainable ihram garments during Hajj, performing the ritual ablution (tahallul) at designated sites to minimize pollution, conserving water during ablution, ensuring taps are tightly closed after use, and avoiding wasting or spilling water while drinking.
Ministry also encouraged the use of environmentally friendly and recyclable water containers and promoted awareness of reducing food waste by taking only what is needed and avoiding discarding excess food.
The Ministry emphasized that these behaviors reflect the environmental awareness of pilgrims and contribute to protecting natural resources and ensuring their sustainability for future generations, thus enhancing environmental quality and reinforcing the concept of shared responsibility in preserving the holy sites.
