The ministry explained, with the approach of Hajj season For the year 1447 AH, the commitment to responsible behaviors in the holy sites is a civilized duty that is consistent with Islamic values ​​calling for the preservation of the environment, pointing to the importance of adopting positive practices, such as disposing of waste in designated locations, preserving vegetation, and avoiding harming or approaching animals and birds.

Protecting natural resources

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture highlighted several practices that support environmental sustainability, including the use of sustainable ihram garments during Hajj, performing the ritual ablution (tahallul) at designated sites to minimize pollution, conserving water during ablution, ensuring taps are tightly closed after use, and avoiding wasting or spilling water while drinking.
Ministry also encouraged the use of environmentally friendly and recyclable water containers and promoted awareness of reducing food waste by taking only what is needed and avoiding discarding excess food.
