A warm welcome with flowers: The first group of Palestinian pilgrims arrives in Mecca

For his part, the Palestinian Deputy Minister of Religious Endowments and Affairs and Head of the Hajj and Umrah Committee, Essam Abdel-Halim, praised the great efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to facilitate the arrival of Palestinian pilgrims through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all the agencies working in Hajj.
He praised the services provided by the organizing body to facilitate the pilgrim's journey throughout his stay in Mecca and the holy sites.
During his visit to its headquarters, he said: “All capabilities have been prepared based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the vision of his Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them – and this vision results in preparing all available services at the disposal of flights to serve pilgrims in general and Palestinian pilgrims in particular.”.

The Undersecretary added, “We, as Palestinian pilgrims, have witnessed the warm welcome and generous hospitality of the Saudi people. This reflects the high level of cooperation and coordination between the Palestinian Hajj Affairs Office and our brothers at Rahlat wa Manafi’, who oversee the pilgrims’ affairs. I am confident in all the work they have undertaken and will undertake this season to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims.”
During his visit to the organizing body’s headquarters, the Undersecretary met with Mohammed Maajini, Vice President Ahmed Matar, Managing Director Dr. Samer Bantan, board members Muwaffaq Khoja and Fouad Bishara, and the CEO of Rahlat wa Manafi’, Mohammed Al-Tayeb Al-Khuzami, in Mecca. The meeting addressed the arrangements for Palestinian pilgrims this season.
Discussions focused on the Hajj plans implemented this season in the holy sites to serve approximately 6,600 Palestinian pilgrims performing the rituals, including their movements from Mecca to the holy sites and back during the Hajj journey, as well as camp preparations and all matters related to facilitating the Hajj for the Palestinian pilgrims.

For his part, Chairman of the Board Mohammed Maajini affirmed the commitment of the Tawafa (pilgrim service) providers for Arab countries to enhance the services offered to pilgrims to the House of God, in addition to launching numerous programs and initiatives aimed at providing the highest quality and most refined services and enriching the pilgrim's journey to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The CEO of Travel and Benefits, Mohammed Al-Tayeb Al-Khuzami, welcomed the pilgrims from the State of Palestine, explaining their efforts to provide the utmost comfort and ease during their performance of the rituals, in accordance with the vision of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God support him – to care for and attend to visitors and pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, and to ensure they receive the best and most refined services and facilities to perform their rituals and acts of worship in a spiritual atmosphere.
