"Serious consequences": Venezuela warns of an oil spill originating from Trinidad and Tobago

Reported Venezuela Saturday, regarding a leak of hydrocarbon materials originating from Trinidad and TobagoShe expressed concern about “serious environmental consequences” on the coasts, at a time when tension prevails in the relationship between the two countries.
Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodriguez instructed the Foreign Ministry to "immediately" request from Port of Spain "detailed information about the incident, as well as an urgent plan to control" its repercussions oil spill.
Rodriguez’s official statement noted that initial analyses showed “serious risks to key ecosystems such as mangrove forests and wetlands, as well as to hunter-gatherer communities and hydrobiological resources.”.

Venezuelan migration
