The Ministry of Culture opens applications for its performance-based support program for non-profit organizations

The Ministry of Culture announced today that it is opening applications for non-profit organizations to apply for the Performance-Based Support Program, which allows them to benefit by applying for six financial support products through the following website:
https://www.moc.gov.sa/ar/Modules/Pages/Initiative/nonprofit%20Cultural%20Sector%20Support, during the period from May 11 to June 22.

The Ministry has allocated from these products a product to support projects and programs with cultural impact; to enhance the excellence of non-profit organizations, and increase their contribution and influence in priority cultural fields, in addition to enhancing financial sustainability, and a capacity-building support product that provides funding for consulting services and specialized training programs; to enable non-profit cultural organizations to enhance their maturity and operational capabilities, and contribute to the development of strategic, administrative, financial, and human resource development areas.

The products also included a Foundation Support product, which provides non-profit cultural organizations in priority areas with financial support during their establishment phase to accelerate their maturation and enhance their capacity to achieve cultural impact. Another product was Emergency Support, targeting impactful non-profit cultural organizations facing financial distress or administrative and financial difficulties due to exceptional emergencies or natural disasters, provided they have a proven track record of high performance or a prominent position in the non-profit cultural sector.

Similarly, there is the Institutional Excellence Award, a financial award presented to non-profit cultural organizations that excel in implementing best practices in management and governance, thereby enhancing their institutional maturity, implementation capacity, and sustainability. Finally, there is the Cultural Impact Grant, a financial grant recognizing the efforts of non-profit cultural organizations that meet specific performance criteria and contribute strategically to strengthening cultural impact in priority areas.

The Support for Performance program seeks to promote excellence in non-profit organizations to double their contribution and impact in cultural fields, expand the coverage of non-profit organizations in cultural sub-sectors, geographic areas and stages of the cultural value chain, increase the financial sustainability of non-profit organizations, and improve the maturity and implementation capabilities of non-profit organizations.

The Ministry of Culture launched the Performance-Based Support Program in previous years as one of the key enablers in the Ministry’s strategy for the non-profit cultural sector. The program aims to support non-profit organizations based on performance through a number of different support products, and focuses on strengthening the cultural system through performance-based support to motivate non-profit organizations to improve their efficiency and create more cultural impact.
