Thunderstorms and winds: Today's weather forecast for the Kingdom's regions (Monday)

Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly on the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northeasterly on the southern part at a speed of 10-25 km/h, reaching 50 km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba.

Wave height: from half a meter to a meter, reaching more than two meters towards the Gulf of Aqaba.

Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming rough towards the Gulf of Aqaba.

Arabian Gulf

Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 17-34 km/h.

Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half meters.

Sea state: Light to moderate waves.

Eastern Province weather

issued The National Center for Meteorology warning weather for active winds and dust storms affecting parts of the Eastern Province.
The winds are expected to begin at 9:00 AM and continue until 7:00 PM in Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, and Abqaiq.
The accompanying effects include reduced horizontal visibility and wind speeds reaching 40-49 km/h.
Dust storms
are also expected in Hafr Al-Batin, beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until 7:00 PM.
These storms will be accompanied by active winds and reduced horizontal visibility to 3-5 km.
